Alampur Montessori School organised ‘Sphoorthi 2026’ to commemorate the 14th death anniversary of its founder, Kalyanamma.

School director K.N.V. Ravi Prakash and principal P. Nagalakshmi paid floral tributes to the portrait of the founder on the occasion. Teachers and students also paid homage by presenting speeches, poems, and songs highlighting various aspects of Kalyanamma’s inspiring life and her remarkable contribution to education.

As part of the celebrations marking the golden jubilee of the Montessori Educational Institutions, a mega blood donation camp was organised free of charge on the school campus. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Vinima Tejasri, Government Medical Officer, Gadwal, and Dr. Syed Basha, Superintendent of Alampur Government Hospital. More than 100 members, including the management, teachers, and non-teaching staff donated blood.

Speaking on the occasion, director Ravi Prakash praised Kalyanamma’s extraordinary dedication to the development of the school. He said that through her relentless hard work, Kalyanamma proved the saying, “There is no scarcity for those who work diligently”, and described her life as a model of inspiration.

Principal Nagalakshmi stated that Kalyanamma firmly believed in the three guiding principles — determination, dedication, and success — and lived by them, becoming a role model for generations.

The evening cultural programme featured a variety of performances depicting the life and achievements of Kalyanamma through PowerPoint presentations, songs, poems, and an English skit. Students also presented a traditional ‘Burrakatha’ performance narrating her inspiring life journey, earning widespread appreciation for their excellent presentation. Hindi songs and poems were performed, and students beautifully explained verses from the Bhagavad Gita, adding spiritual significance to the event.

The director congratulated the students, teachers, and staff for their dedicated efforts in making Sphoorthi 2026 a memorable and meaningful event.
