PROTECT YOURSELF with Orgo-Life® QUANTUM TECHNOLOGY
Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwaySan José is gearing up for one of its most magical nights. This Thursday, May 14th, the Art City Tour returns with its iconic edition: “Chepe bajo la lluvia” (Chepe under the rain). This event is a unique opportunity to rediscover our capital through art, history, and culture—all for free.
If you are planning to attend, here is everything you need to know to make the most of this cultural journey.
What is the Art City Tour?
It is a cultural program that connects the main museums and galleries of San José. For one night, these spaces open their doors for free, and the organization provides a bus system to transport attendees between the different stops.
1. Key Information for May 14th
Hours: From 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Cost: 100% Free (including museum entry and transportation).
Registration: Remember to sign up in advance on the GAM Cultural platform to receive your access code, as shuttle space is limited.
2. How to Get Around
You can choose the modality that best suits your style:
Shuttle Routes: There are several circuits (North, South, East, and West). You can hop on and off at any participating museum.
Walking Tours: Perfect for those who want to appreciate the historic architecture of downtown San José.
Bicycle Routes: Join the groups of cyclists who travel the city in organized caravans.
3. Must-Visit Stops
While there are dozens of participating spaces, we recommend these “essentials”:
The National Museum: Explore our history in the halls of the old Bellavista Fortress.
The Jade Museum: A modern architectural marvel with an unparalleled archaeological collection.
MADC (Museum of Contemporary Art and Design): Located in the CENAC, it’s the heart of avant-garde art in the city.
The National Library: Usually hosts special exhibitions of poetry and photography.
Quick Tips for a Great Experience
1. Be Early: Shuttles at main starting points (like the Museum of Costa Rican Art in La Sabana) tend to fill up quickly at 5:00 p.m.
2. Bring an Umbrella: True to its name, “Chepe bajo la lluvia” often involves a bit of May drizzle. Don’t let it stop you!
3. Plan Your Route: Check the map beforehand and pick 3 or 4 places you really want to see. Trying to visit them all in four hours can be a challenge.
4. Enjoy the Food: Take advantage of the night to visit the restaurants in Barrio Escalante or downtown, which often have special menus for the event.
