'Bad Newz' actor and Punjabi singer Ammy Virk was reportedly caught in a shooting incident in Canada shortly after wrapping up his concert in Abbotsford, British Columbia, on the night of September 5.

A vehicle believed to be part of his convoy was allegedly fired upon, though no one was hurt in the incident.

What happened that night

Ammy Virk had just finished performing at Rogers Forum in Abbotsford when he reportedly left the venue with his convoy around 11 pm. According to the Voice Online report, occupants of a dark-coloured SUV opened fire on a vehicle in the convoy in the 2500-block of McCallum Road, with accounts suggesting anywhere between seven and ten shots were fired.

The bullets are said to have struck the rear window of the car, but all occupants, including the singer, reportedly escaped unharmed.

Bulletproof Rolls–Royce reportedly targeted

As per the PTC news report, several reports identify the targeted vehicle as a bulletproof Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which was carrying four people, including Ammy Virk, at the time. Despite the intensity of the attack, no injuries were reported among those inside the car.

Burnt SUV found nearby

Soon after the shooting, police received information about an SUV on fire in the 2400 block of Sunnyside Place.

When officers arrived, the vehicle was found completely gutted. Authorities are now examining whether this burnt SUV has any link to the shooting incident.

Police yet to confirm target

Abbotsford Police have acknowledged the shooting on McCallum Road but have not officially confirmed whether Ammy Virk was present in the vehicle at the time or who the intended target actually was. The investigation into the incident, including the connection between the shooting and the torched SUV, remains ongoing.
