Iceland shoppers are sprinting to their nearest supermarket to pick up a brand new flavour of Nando's sauce that's said to be 'banging' when paired with 'basically everything'

Attention all Nando's enthusiasts - Iceland has launched a fresh sauce variety that demands your attention.

Nando's stands as a beloved restaurant chain across the UK, renowned for its Peri-Peri chicken available in numerous flavours and heat levels. Following the chain's success, Nando's has expanded into retail, with popular flavours now stocked in supermarkets, where shoppers can purchase sauces, marinades, rubs, and even the legendary Peri-Peri salt served on the restaurant's chips.

And if you're keen on the diverse range of Nando's sauces you can enjoy at home, then you'll need to head straight to your local Iceland store, where customers have spotted a completely new addition.

In an Instagram post shared by New Foods UK, it was confirmed that Nando's has introduced a Creamy Peri-Peri sauce at Iceland, and devotees are eager to snap it up.

Based on Iceland's website, the creamy option retails at £2 for a 245g bottle, and is promoted as a versatile condiment suitable for "basically everything" - from chicken and salad to even mashed potato.

The sauce delivers a gentle kick, as it features just the "tiniest pinch" of the African Bird's Eye chillies that Nando's employs to create its signature Peri-Peri taste. The product is gluten-free, suitable for vegans, and halal.

The product description on the website reads: "Take a walk on the Mild side... Our cool, creamy sauce made with black pepper, garlic, herbs and the tiniest pinch of Peri-Peri (African Bird's Eye Chillies). It goes on basically everything. Think chicken, chips, salad, mash and even rice."

Fans commenting on the New Foods UK Instagram post were keen to get their hands on the new condiment, with many expressing enthusiasm for what sounded like a winning combination.

The Creamy Peri-Peri sauce is the latest addition to Nando's established range of cook-at-home sauces and condiments, which already features beloved flavours such as lemon and herb, medium, hot, xx hot, and garlic.

The popular restaurant chain also stocks "Perinaise" in supermarkets – a blend of Peri-Peri flavours and mayonnaise, producing a velvety sauce perfect for dipping and drizzling. This is available in varieties including mild, lemon and black pepper, hot, garlic, and churrasco, along with a vegan-friendly version.

Shoppers can also pick up "bag and bake" products that let you add meat or vegetables to a seasoning-packed bag and roast everything together, plus dry rubs designed to coat raw meat or vegetables ahead of cooking.
