Dad Kyle Campbell, 32, from Bolton, had travelled to Thailand to marry his fiancée Kannika Masasai when he died in his sleep following a motorbike accident

A Brit who was discharged from hospital after a motorbike crash died in his sleep just days before his wedding.

Kyle Campbell, 32, from Westhoughton, Bolton, had travelled to Thailand to marry his fiancée Kannika Masasai when the tragedy happened, leaving the family including his 12-year-old son heartbroken.

He was involved in a motorbike accident and was taken to a local hospital, where he was later discharged, but then at around 2.30am on July 30 his family in the UK were told he had died in his sleep.

Kyle’s family are now left with “unimaginable pain”, with his partner Kannika saying he will "always be in my heart".

She wrote: “Death takes away the body but love remains, rest in peace my love, and you will always be in my heart. I will keep you in my best memories forever my love.”

The plumber had been in a relationship for two and half years when they decided to get married in Thailand. According to loved ones, they were informed that the medical care he received was “inadequate” following the accident.

The family now faces a heavy financial burden to bring his body back to the UK and have created a JustGiving page to raise £10,000.

The money will be for repatriation, funeral expenses, and the unexpected costs that come with such a tragic loss, it states. His cousin Dianne Fisher set up the page, which has already surpassed the £10,000, hitting £10,955 today.

Dianne said: “It is with broken hearts that we share the sudden and tragic loss of our beloved Kyle Campbell. Kyle travelled to Thailand to marry his partner of two and a half years, looking forward to beginning the next chapter of their lives together.

“What should have been a joyful occasion ended in unimaginable heartbreak. Whilst in Thailand, Kyle was involved in a motorcycle accident and sustained a head injury. Following treatment at a local hospital, he was discharged.

“Our family have since been informed that the medical care he received was inadequate, and tragically, he later passed away as a result of his injuries. His death has devastated everyone who knew and loved him.

“He leaves behind his precious 12-year-old son, who lived with him, as well as family and friends who are now facing the unimaginable pain of losing him so suddenly. We are now faced with the enormous financial burden of bringing Kyle home to the UK so that he can be reunited with his family and laid to rest with the dignity and love he deserves.

“The funds raised will go towards the costs of repatriation, funeral expenses, and the unexpected costs that come with such a tragic loss. Any donation, no matter how small, will make an incredible difference and help ease the financial pressure on the family during this heartbreaking time.
