Footage shows a reported Israeli air strike hitting near a Lebanese TV journalist amid concerns over renewed fighting between Israel and Hezbollah despite a June ceasefire.The incident occurred on September 6 as Al-Manar TV correspondent Ali Chbib was preparing to go on air.

He was reporting from the southern Lebanese town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa when the strike hit nearby.

In the footage, shared by Al-Manar, the journalist preparing for a live broadcast when the strike hit behind him. Chbib is seen ducking for cover as fire and debris rise into the air before the live TV feed cut.According to the broadcaster, both Chbib and his cameraman Mohammad Berjawi were wounded in the strike.

IDF says 'aware of reports a journalist was harmed'

In a statement on its Telegram channel, the Israeli military said it had carried out strikes in southern Lebanon’s Nabatieh area, killing several Hezbollah fighters following the launch of Hezbollah drones on Sunday.The Israeli military acknowledged it was “aware” of reports that a journalist was harmed “in the vicinity of the terrorist infrastructure” during the operation.“The IDF does not target uninvolved individuals or journalists under any circumstances. The IDF makes every effort to minimise harm to uninvolved individuals while maintaining the safety of its forces,” the military stated.The IDF identified Hezbollah weapons storage facilities and a command centre inside a building previously used as a hospital as targets.

It also claimed to have used precision munitions and aerial surveillance to reduce harm to civilians.As many as 11 people were killed in the Israeli attacks, including nine in separate strikes in the same area.Concerns over renewed Israeli military operations have increased in Lebanon following days of strikes despite a June ceasefire aimed at halting fighting between Israel and Hezbollah.
