Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man sees Irish star Cillian Murphy reprising one of his most celebrated roles, Birmingham gangster Tommy Shelby.
In the new film currently streaming on Netflix, Tommy is compelled to abandon his self-imposed exile and return to Small Heath, where his volatile son Erasmus 'Duke' Shelby (portrayed by Barry Keoghan) has assumed control of the gang and negotiated an arrangement to distribute forged banknotes for the Nazis.
A follow-up to the cherished BBC series created by Steven Knight, The Immortal Man may represent the finale of Tommy's journey but will shortly be succeeded by two fresh seasons of Peaky Blinders, which will unveil a new generation of criminals in post-Second World War Birmingham.
Prior to that, legions of fans are anticipated to watch on Netflix to experience the show's maiden epic feature film, which also arrived in cinemas on 6th March.
As Murphy bids farewell to one of his most memorable roles, let's examine some of his finest and most overlooked films available to stream, reports the Express.

Steve features him in another principal role, this time as a headmaster of a school for boys with behavioural difficulties. It's adapted from the novel Shy by Max Porter, who penned the screenplay, and also features Murphy's Immortal Man co-star Jay Lycurgo. One IMDb reviewer described both leads as Oscar-worthy and said: "Truly heartbreaking performances that make you feel deeply." Another fan labelled the film a "must-see" and said it "left me deeply moved and utterly captivated".

Another understated yet commanding central performance from the Peaky Blinders star anchors this quietly devastating film about a father and coal merchant in a small Irish town who discovers a horrifying truth within a local convent.
An enthusiastic reviewer insisted "it deserves far more recognition", and wrote: "This film is a brilliant piece of art, featuring outstanding performances and a story that is both deeply touching and genuinely terrifying. Inception - Sky
From sensitive, introspective indie dramas to blockbuster spectacle, Inception remains one of the most mind-bending Hollywood films of the 21st century and features Murphy in a pivotal role alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
The Peaky Blinders star plays the heir to an enormous business empire whose subconscious becomes the target of a team of criminals capable of infiltrating dreams in order to dismantle his father's company. A reviewer described the iconic Christopher Nolan film: "A one-of-a-kind mind-blowing masterpiece! In my opinion, it's been so far the greatest achievement in [Nolan's] brilliant writer-director career."
Murphy's most recent partnership with Nolan came in the blockbuster Oppenheimer, which secured him both an Oscar and a BAFTA award.
28 Days Later - Sky
One of Murphy's breakthrough roles that propelled him to fame is in the gripping British zombie film 28 Days Later, where he portrays a coma patient who wakes to find the UK devastated by a rage-inducing virus, with only a small number of survivors remaining.
An IMDb user described the Danny Boyle film as "a modern classic", stating: "I have no doubt it will go down in history as a classic, the one movie which perfectly sums up the confused era we are living in."
They continued: "And even if you didn't like it, it would be advisable to give 28 Days Later another chance; it's a haunting experience when looked at from the right angle."
If 28 Days Later is already amongst your favourites, be sure to watch the recent sequels, 28 Years Later and 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.

Red Eye - Paramount+
This intense thriller is undeniably one of Murphy's most overlooked and underappreciated performances of his career. Unveiled in 2005, horror maestro Wes Craven, famed for A Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream, directed this underappreciated gem that has since amassed a significant cult following.
"My blood pressure was sky high after seeing this film," one enthusiast declared. "This movie was excellent. One of Wes Craven's best to date."
