When Do the New Prices Take Effect?
According to Aresep, the new rates will officially take effect the day after their publication in the official government journal, La Gaceta, which is scheduled for later this week.
Why Are Fuel Prices Dropping?
Regulatory officials noted that the price adjustment stems directly from international market trends and Recope’s recent purchase invoices.
“These changes are the result of price fluctuations in the international market, based on the purchase invoices submitted by Recope for each product. International prices vary due to supply and demand dynamics, geopolitical situations, weather, and conflict, among other factors,” Aresep stated.
