The Cyberabad Traffic Police on Monday (August 3, 2026) issued a traffic advisory requesting companies and organisations across the commissionerate to allow employees to leave office early in a staggered manner following forecasts of moderate to heavy rainfall.
The advisory, issued by the Office of the Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), urged employers to begin staggered logouts from 3.30 p.m. on August 3 to reduce travel-related risks, ease pressure on the road network and ensure the smooth movement of emergency services.
The police said the measure was recommended in view of an official weather alert predicting adverse conditions that could lead to severe traffic congestion across Cyberabad. The Traffic Police appealed to companies and organisations to cooperate in the interest of public safety and to minimise disruptions caused by the expected rain.
Officials said staggering employee departures would help prevent a surge in traffic during peak hours, reduce the likelihood of bottlenecks on major roads and allow emergency vehicles to move without obstruction.
The Cyberabad Traffic Police thanked organisations for their understanding and cooperation, stating that coordinated efforts would help ensure safer travel and the uninterrupted functioning of essential services during the inclement weather.
