A Deal or No Deal star faced a huge blow just minutes into the game - with the contestant admitting they would consider “not playing anymore”.
The beloved ITV gameshow returned to screens on Saturday (July 25) for a celebrity special featuring comedian and actor Guz Khan.
Supported on the wings by his friends, family and a few famous faces, Guz went head-to-head with the infamous banker to bag some cash for his charity Medical Aid for Palestinians.
However, things took a dramatic turn in the first round as Guz lost the eye-watering jackpot prize of £100k. His friend said: “I am so sorry,” to which Guz replied: “It’s not your fault.”
Host Stephen Mulhern then chimed in: “100 grand! We were going very well there. 100 grand is now gone. We know that cannot be won for your charity.”
An optimistic Stephen added: “But as Deal or No Deal goes, this board at the end of round one we’ve seen the hundred go, the 75 and the 50 go. This is still an incredible board.”
Guz then quipped: “If that had happened I would have gone as well. There’s no point playing,” as the studio audience and guests laughed.
Unfortunately for Guz, things went from bad to worse as he went on to lose the 75k in the second round as well.
Later on in the game, the banker offered Guz a huge £10k, and although he was considering dealing, Guz decided not to and continued with the game. The banker’s next offer was £19,710 and Guz straight away dealt meaning he was going home with just under £20k.
Like normal, Guz then had to carry on playing and he was left with a huge 50k and 25k still on the board. Guz said: “ I think for the first time in my life, we did the right thing by dealing.” It was then time to find out what Guz had in his box all along, which was £25,000.
Reacting to the episode, fans online shared their thoughts. One person said on X: “What a game, what a legend Guz Khan is.” Another wrote: “That’s rough, an all red finish and Guz has dealt slightly too early.”
