Advance voting is underway, and both campaigns are increasingly focused on the ridings that could decide who forms government. Ben O'Hara-Byrne and Keith Baldrey discuss why battleground ridings in Metro Vancouver, including Surrey-Newton and Coquitlam-Burke Mountain, are seeing a surge of local promises and campaign attention as voters begin casting ballots. They also examine key races on Vancouver Island, where Green support could become a decisive factor for both the NDP and Conservatives. The pair examine questions surrounding major Conservative commitments such as the proposed return of the Massey Bridge and broader concerns about platform costing, while both parties increasingly rely on targeted local announcements rather than broad provincewide promises in the campaign's final days. They also break down confusion surrounding endorsements involving Grand Chief Stewart Philip, who publicly supported Green Leader Emily Lowan in her riding, before later expressing support for the BC NDP. The episode also revisits the campaign's ongoing focus on candidate controversies after another BC Conservative candidate found themselves in the news over past comments.
