Drag queens, kings and Halloween lovers gathered Tuesday night at Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C. for the 39th annual 17th Street High Heel Race – an event which celebrates the capital city's LGBTQIA+ community. The tradition began on Halloween in 1986 with just 25 contestants running from a local restaurant to a nearby steakhouse to take a shot before running back to the start. #Halloween #Tradition #DC
