Harry Maguire saw his day go from celebration to despair as he was sent off while Manchester United were held at Bournemouth.
Maguire, who had been restored to the England squad just hours earlier, got his marching orders for conceding the penalty which ultimately cost United two points.
That meant the night ended in frustration for United against draw specialists Bournemouth because Junior Kroupi smashed home the equaliser from the spot.
Twice United surrendered the lead against Bournemouth who have now drawn five in a row and have drawn 15 out of their 31 Premier League games this season.
But even though it ended all square, they delivered an absolute Premier League cracker at Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium full of terrific football, drama and another Bruno Fernandes milestone.

Mind you, after overtaking David Beckham with his 16th assist in a single season for United last week, he has got some way to go to catch Alan Shearer who converted 56.
You actually had to feel a bit for Maguire because his England renaissance has been so good but he could not really have any huge complaints about the decision.
But it may raise the odd question as to whether the 33-year-old veteran is quick enough on his feet after being turned so easily by Evanilson for the penalty.
Up stepped Fernandes, a little stuttering run-up was followed by a cool penalty stroked home into the bottom corner.
United screamed for another penalty for Adrien Truffet’s challenge on Amad but Bournemouth stormed up the other end and equalised when Ryan Christie toe-poked home.
However, Bournemouth’s delight was short-lived. Fernandes swung over a corner, Maguire challenged and then the ball deflected in off James Hill to put United back in front.
Still the drama was not over. Bournemouth forward Evanilson slipped inside the United box, Maguire clearly pulled him back to concede a clear penalty but it also got him a red card. Kroupi converted to settle a terrific advert for the Premier League.
