Haryana offers investors much more than land, incentives, and approvals; it offers a strategic partnership built around scale, speed, policy certainty and shared prosperity, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said on Monday.

Memorandum of understandings (MoUs) worth Rs 66,000 crore have been signed with various companies on the second day of the ‘Happening Haryana 2.0’ international outreach campaign organised by the Haryana government in Mumbai, according to a state government release.

Haryana government focuses on faster project execution

Addressing Consuls General of various countries, industry leaders, investors and representatives of Mumbai’s financial and corporate sector on the second day of his Mumbai visit, Saini said his government believes in project movement, not file movement.

He said the Haryana government has constituted an industry-worker friendship council to resolve issues relating to the rights of industries and workers, as well as other industrial disputes.

The CM said under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is rapidly strengthening its position among the world’s major economic powers.

Digital infrastructure, connectivity, manufacturing, startups, skill development, and self-reliance have strengthened the country’s economic foundations, and India is moving rapidly toward becoming the world’s third-largest economy.

Haryana emerges as major economic and industrial hub

He said Haryana has emerged as an important growth engine in this development journey. Despite accounting for only about 1.3 per cent of the country’s geographical area, Haryana contributes around 3.6 per cent to the national economy.

Haryana has emerged as a major hub for automobiles, agro-industries, engineering, electronics, logistics, IT services and corporate activities.

Saini said MoUs worth Rs 1.10 lakh crore were signed recently at the Industry Policy launch programme in Gurugram.

Of the 123 companies that signed MoUs, 108 have already been provided land. For Haryana, an MoU is not merely a signing ceremony but a symbol of commitment, he said.

State outlines district-specific growth strategy

He said the government will develop new growth nodes by integrating district-specific clusters with land, skills and connectivity.

North Haryana will focus on food processing, pharmaceuticals, scientific instruments and logistics; central Haryana on engineering, textiles, automobiles and warehousing; South Haryana on IT, electronics, e-mobility, global capability centres (GCCs) and advanced manufacturing; and western Haryana on agro-industry, renewable energy, textiles and export-oriented units, he said.

Haryana targets USD 1 trillion economy by 2047

In line with the Prime Minister’s goal of a developed India by 2047, Haryana has prepared the ‘Haryana Vision Document-2047’, he said.

The state aims to take its economy beyond USD 1 trillion, increase per capita income, strengthen the employability of youth and economic participation of women, and make every district an active partner in the development process, he added.
