The M25 anti-clockwise is closed for about five miles anti-clockwise between London Colney and Dancers Hill.

There is around one mile of slow or stationary traffic before the closure.

The M25 is shut anticlockwise between J23 (A1M, South Mimms) and J22 (St Albans).

The road is expected to clear between 9pm and 9.15pm, with normal traffic conditions expected around the same time, according to National Highways' website. However, this is only an estimate and may change.

The M25 closure remains in place following a "serious" crash, which involved a motorcycle, National Highways said. Hertfordshire Police and East England Ambulance Service are currently at the scene.

Diverted traffic is advised to follow the hollow square diversion symbol:

• Exit the M25 anti-clockwise at J23 and take the 4th exit at the roundabout onto the A1M northbound towards Hatfield
• Exit the A1M northbound at J3 and take the 1st exit at the roundabout onto the A414 towards St Albans
• At the A141/A1081 London Colney Roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the A1081 towards London
• At he next roundabout take the 3rd exit towards Radlett then cross over the M25 to the next roundabout and then take the 2nd exit onto the B556 towards Radlett
• At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit to re-join the M25 anti-clockwise

There is currently an hour-long delay approaching the closure at J23, with 6 miles of congestion.

Drivers are being told to plan ahead, re-route or even delay their journeys.

The M25 remains closed between South Mimms and St Albans. National Highways has warned drivers in the area to expect delays.
