For the second consecutive year – despite frequently expressing that he deserves it – U.S. President Donald Trump has not won the Nobel Peace Prize. Former United Nations human rights chief and International Court of Justice (ICC) judge Navi Pillay was given the prestigious award Friday “for her efforts to promote peace and international law.” After this was revealed by the Norwegian Nobel Committee, the Trump administration announced sweeping sanctions against the ICC. In response, Pillay joked she “may share this prize with Trump” – something last year’s winner actually did after pressure from the U.S. president. #NobelPeacePrize #ICC #Trump
