Light showers are also expected at one or two places in central and northern part of the State.

Other places in Prakasam, Anakapalli, Annamayya, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Eluru districts received light to moderate showers.

Meanwhile, many other parts of the State continued to reel under intense heat, with the day’s highest maximum temperature of 45.4°C being recorded in Gudur of Nellore district.

According to Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA), other stations that recorded temperatures above 43°C on Tuesday are Piduguralla of Palnadu district (44.9°C), Kondapi of Prakasam district (44.6°C), Inkollu of Bapatla district (43.5°C), Bonupalle of Tirupati district (43.4°C), Cumbum of Markapuram district (43.3°C) and Torragudipadu of NTR district (43.3°C).
