Home Minister trying to stop people from coming to November 1 rally: Rahul
Speaking about the INDIA bloc’s November 1 rally, Mr. Gandhi alleged that the Home minister is “trying his best to stop people” from coming into Delhi. He said attempts are on to stop people from other States, including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Telangana among others.
“Our party people and common people are being stopped. You watch what happens at Ramlila Maidan and you will understand what is happening in the country. There is huge anger and pain because millions are being disenfranchised,” he said.
Mr. Gandhi said anyone who wants to protect the Constitution is invited to join the march and the rally. “Both programmes are about the demolition of democracy by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and his crew,” he alleged.
The LoP in Lok Sabha also stated that the November 1 rally is a singular event and not intended as multiple protests.
Echoing similar sentiments, MP Derek O’Brien, representing Mamata Banerjee, said the INDIA bloc is together in this and will win this together.
