The Inner Wheel Club of Madras Midtown, a women-led organisation with a 50-year legacy, and SNEHA, an NGO specialising in suicide prevention, will collaborate on a mental health initiative to conduct teacher training programmes in schools in remote areas.

The initiative will run alongside community outreach and grief support sessions, which will be conducted in adopted villages to raise awareness and foster healing through Survivors after Suicide (SAS) groups.

Lakshmi Vijayakumar, founder of SNEHA, Rama Vaidyanathan, the 51st President of the Club, and Supriya Sundararaman, Chairman of Inner Wheel District 323 spoke about the mental health initiative
