When it comes to Alberta’s separation from Canada, it’s a vote some never thought they’d have to cast. Global News spoke with people about the upcoming referendum and despite where they stand on the issue, many find the question semantically confusing. “It's confusing to people who are born here and speak English as a first language but for anybody that doesn't have English as a first language, they don't even know what it's asking,” one Albertan said.
