Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) Managing Director, Divya Prabhu G.R.J., directed officials and empanelled vendors to complete the installation and commissioning of all sanctioned solar water pumpsets under the KUSUM-B scheme before September 30.

During a review meeting held on Friday, Ms. Prabhu said, “Around 1.05 lakh farmers have registered under the scheme of which 40,000 beneficiaries have been identified and standalone solar powered pumpsets have been sanctioned for installation. As many as 27,663 solar water pumpsets have already been installed across 31 districts in the State.”

At the same time, month-wise targets have been fixed for each of the 13 empanelled vendors to ensure timely completion.

Under the KUSUM-B scheme, farmers receive standalone solar water pumpsets with 50% subsidy from the State government, 30% from the Centre, and a 20% contribution from farmers.
