35' Manly on top as Souths hold on approaching half-time
Manly's lead is just two points, but the Sea Eagles feel well on top of this contest.
Souths are on the back foot and the Manly are hunting one more try before half-time.
ABC Sport's Matthew Elliott has described Manly's dominance at the moment.
"The ruck speed, the collision, they are winning in all areas."

29' TRY: Lehi Hopoate scores for Manly
It is a disaster for the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Centre Campbell Graham takes a hit-up deep in his own end.
Graham drops the ball in the tackle, and the Manly Sea Eagles pick up the footy and pass it to their speedy left winger Lehi Hopoate.
Hopoate was tripped up before the line, but he was able to get off the ground and got to the line.

29' Alex Johnston with a try-saving tackle
South Sydney winger Alex Johnston has produced a great try-saving tackle.
Manly centre Reuben Garrick got to the line, and he was lying on top of Johnston. The pair were belly-to-belly, but Johnston was able to keep the ball in the air, and then Garrick's body went into touch.

23' TRY: Jason Saab scores for 12-man Sea Eagles
Despite being down to 12 men with Clayton Faulalo in the sin bin, the Manly Sea Eagles have scored.
Winger Jason Saab has touched down in the right corner.
Manly got the opportunity after Souths fullback Jye Gray dropped a high kick on his own goal-line.
Reuben Garrick nails the kick from the right touchline.

16' SIN BIN: Clayton Faulalo off for Manly
Manly fullback Clayton Faulalo is off for 10 minutes for committing a professional foul.
South Sydney fullback Jye Gray misjudged a high kick and had to run back to his goal-line to retrieve the ball.
The Souths number 1 then beats one defender (Ben Trbojevic), and he makes a big run.
Gray gives the ball to Aston Ward who is tackled, but Manly fullback Clayton Faulalo stayed in the tackle for too long and gave away the penalty.
Referee Adam Gee has ruled that was a professional foul, and I think that is the right call.

12' TRY: Keaon Koloamatangi scores for the Rabbitohs
Souths finally get a chance at the Manly goal-line, and they score.
On the back of a Cody Walker 40/20, the Rabbitohs charged over after Cam Murray gave a short pass to Keaon Koloamatangi.
The big Souths front-rower blasted through a hole in the Manly defence.

11' 40/20 for South Sydney
Great kick from Souths five-eighth Cody Walker.
He takes the ball from dummy-half and boots a 40/20.
That is the momentum change the Rabbitohs needed.
They have a full set at the Sea Eagles' goal-line.

10' Souths defend their goal-line well
Manly have had a full set at the Souths' goal-line, after winger Alex Johnston dropped a high kick from Sea Eagles halfback Jamal Fogarty.
The Sea Eagles threw everything at Souths, but could not score.
The closest the Sea Eagles came was hooker Jake Simpkin taking a dart from dummy-half and being held up over the line.

5' David Fifita penalised on return
One of David Fifita's first actions on return for Souths is giving away a penalty for a lifting tackle.
The Souths enforcer lifted Manly five-eighth Luke Brooks.
It is a tough call, but in the modern era, refs do not like any lifting of the legs.
Manly had a full set attacking the Souths' goal-line.
Souths survived well. Sea Eagles forward Haumole Olakau'atu charged to the line, but was brought down shorts and knocked-on trying to reach for the line.

Manly in form, but don't sleep on the Bunnies
Hello Mick, Happy Round 14! I've tipped Manly's Kieran Foran to continue the extraordinarily successful start to his coaching career tonight.
- Mike
G'day Mike.
There is plenty of reasons to believe Manly will continue their terrific form tonight, but don't sleep on the Bunnies.
Brandon Smith, David Fifita, Cam Murray and Campbell Graham — these are high-quality players coming back into the side.
And I am keen to see Ashton Ward shine tonight.
The 22-year-old has only had four appearances so far this season, and 10 in total. He is learning each week and I am excited to watch him closely tonight.

When is Latrell Mitchell coming back?
Evening Michael. Looking for some good entertaining footy. Curious as to when the original Latrell will be returning from injury and let’s hope there are no injuries tonight.
- KB
G'day KB.
The timeline for Latrell Mitchell's return is still unclear.
He has been out since Magic Round with a lower back issue.
Here is the official word from the club on their injury report card from a couple of days ago:
Latrell Mitchell continues his rehabilitation for a lower back disc complaint with associated neural symptoms and will be monitored over the coming weeks.

Kieran Foran in his first match as full-time coach

By round four, he was the interim head coach after the Sea Eagles lost their opening three matches, all at Brookvale Oval.

At the start of round 14, they are fifth on the NRL ladder, one of the in-form teams in the competition, and Foran has been signed as the full-time head coach.

Wanting a banger to start the weekend
Evening Mick. Looking forward to this one very much indeed. I'll assume Manly are favourites, but they can blow chances as well as anyone can. Wanting a close tussle and please, we can't afford too many more injuries at this mid-season point. Can't and won't tip this one.
- Old timer
G'day Old timer.
On paper, this has match of the round written all over it.
Manly is one of the in-form teams in the competition, while the Rabbitohs welcome back big names and have plenty of strike power across the field.
I think every neutral tonight is hoping these two clubs give a cracking game to kick start the weekend.
