An emotional drama that's free to stream has been dubbed "the best show ever" by fans

A heartwarming drama is currently streaming for free on Channel 4, and viewers are hooked.

The series follows the lives and families of two parents and their three children across several different time frames - making it perfect for fans of Brothers & Sisters and Parenthood.

This Is Us centres around married couple Rebecca and Jack Pearson (played by Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimilglia), who welcome triplets on Jack's 36th birthday.

The lives of Rebecca, Jack and their three children - Kevin (Justin Hartley), Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown) - are then presented at different points in time.

Rebecca and Jack's stories take place during the early stages of their marriage, and are interwoven with separate stories of their adult children, who each have their own baggage as a result of their childhood.

The stacked cast also includes Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan, Ron Cephas Jones, Jon Huertas, Alexandra Breckenridge, Eris Baker, Faithe Herman, Melanie Liburd, and Lyric Ross.

This Is Us aired a total of six seasons between the years of 2016 and 2022, ending with a heartwrenching finale that left viewers in floods of tears.

Hulu acquired the rights to the drama in the US, before the series landed on Disney+ and Amazon Prime.

Now, all 106 episodes are available to stream for free on Channel 4 - making the series the perfect summer binge-watch, but make sure you have tissues!

This Is Us currently boasts a 94% rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, with critics branding it "sensational". The Post NZ said: "Think of it as the family dynamic you loved in Parenthood, meets the emotionally crippling storylines of Grey's Anatomy. Soppy drama at its very best."

Audiences have also agreed, with many sharing their praise online. One IMDb user wrote: "This show is able to make you laugh in joy, sob, and smile every single episode! Great actors, deserves 10/10."
