PUNE: Rakhi Agarwal, mother of murdered Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal, has written an emotional email to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to ensure justice for her son and demanding the strictest punishment for those responsible for his death.In the letter, Rakhi said she had never imagined that she would one day have to write to the prime minister seeking justice for her own child.

“Like every mother, I dreamt of watching Ketan build a beautiful life, get married and grow old with us. Instead, I had to perform the last rites of my child,” she wrote.Calling Ketan’s killing “brutal”, she said his death had left an “irreparable void” in the family.“My world ended the day Ketan died,” she wrote, adding that every corner of their home, his room, clothes and photographs, reminds them of the loss.

The grieving mother also referred to the death of Ketan’s grandfather, who passed away less than a month after the murder.In the letter, she said the elderly man “loved Ketan dearly and could not bear the grief of losing his grandson”, leaving the family to mourn two generations within weeks.“I am not asking for sympathy or any special favour. I am only asking for justice,” Rakhi wrote, urging the prime minister to ensure that the case receives due attention and that justice is delivered without delay.

“Please do not let Ketan become just another case. He was someone’s son, someone’s grandson, someone’s brother, but to me, he was my entire world,” the letter read.The appeal comes days after Ketan’s father wrote to President Droupadi Murmu, seeking justice and expressing anguish over the family’s loss.Police are continuing to investigate the murder and the circumstances surrounding it.
