“From a leadership perspective on Hardik, yes, it has not gone as well as he would have wanted as an individual, it might not have gone how we would have wanted as a management staff. But one thing you should know is that we have tried each and everything to give him the best opportunity to lead the franchise, to do well,” Pollard stated.

When asked if Mumbai Indians required an immediate, sweeping overhaul due to the number of veteran players in the squad, Pollard advocated for a measured approach over reactionary changes. He explained that making immediate statements would be irresponsible, emphasizing that the organization needs time and space for a fair assessment to understand where things went wrong before making informed decisions.

Mumbai Indians endure nightmare run in IPL 2026
