Heidi Levine, a journalist reporting for The Washington Post, was violently attacked by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank Friday. Around 80 settlers dressed in black with their faces masked descended upon Abu Falah, burning olive trees and using slings to launch rocks at Palestinians. Levine was taken to a hospital in Ramallah in stable condition. She said she felt lucky to be alive, crediting her helmet and flak jacket with protecting her as she was kicked repeatedly. “I was trying to hold on to my cameras and my pouch, and I had my phone on a string on my neck that they eventually just broke everything off of me and continued kicking me,” she said. “I don't know how a parent can raise such monsters, really, honestly,” she added. “They are Jewish terrorists, and they are giving everyone in the country a horrible reputation. And unfortunately, everyone is seeing them (for) who they are. And you know what? Sadly, none of them will be prosecuted. I am sure of it.” For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Follow Global News on X HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on TikTok HERE: https://www.tiktok.com/@globalnews.ca?lang=en #GlobalNews
