We’ve seen the Batman universe go in many directions, this Autumn it will tiptoe into horror with Clayface. Now a brand new official Trailer has shapeshifted online and DC set to release their first horror.

For many decades we’ve seen the same 3 or 4 faces Gotham Rogues Gallery. Now we get a chance to delve into the shape shifting Matt Hagen aka Clayface. Going by the teaser trailer  this film going full on body horror thriller. With James Watkins (The Woman in Black, Speak No Evil) directing from a script by Mike Flanagan (Doctor Sleep, Oculus, The Life Of Chuck) exciting times ahead!

Tom Rhys Harries plays in the titular role of Hagen a street kid to Hollywood star. Whose glittering career is cut short left disfigured by a crime boss. He makes a drastic turn that pushes him on a destructive path that ill consume him.

For this film, nothing really stands out or teases the horror film we are expecting. There’s still time to prove me wrong…

The film also stars Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella and Eddie Marsan, as well as Nancy Carroll and Joshua James.

Synopsis | Matt Hagen’s meteoric rise from Gotham street kid to Hollywood leading man is tragically cut short when a local crime boss’s actions leave him horribly disfigured. Abandoned by his team and with nothing left, Matt seeks out a cutting edge treatment that miraculously returns him to his former self… but also unexpectedly affects his grip on reality, spiraling him down a destructive path of all-consuming revenge.

Clayface will be released in UK, Ireland and the U.S on 23rd October.
