Based on latest available statistics, North Korea exported US$513.5 million worth of exported products to its trade partners in 2025.
That projected dollar amount results from a 211.7% boost compared to $164.7 million five years earlier in 2021.
Year over year, the total value of North Korean exported goods reversed to a -10.7% decline from $575.3 million during 2024.
Below is a list of North Korea’s top 25 trading partners that imported the most shipments from North Korea by dollar value during 2025. Also shown is each import country’s percentage share of total North Korean exports.

Focusing on 2025, 99.8% of North Korean shipments were delivered to the listed top trading partners.
The fastest-growing importers purchasing goods from North Korea from 2024 to 2025 were: Malawi (up 21,622%), Burkina Faso (up 1,677%), Brazil (up 527.3%), Netherlands (up 509.4%) then Africa’s Democratic Republic of the Congo (up 206.9%).
The severest year-over-year decliners buying exports from North Korea were importers based in Rwanda (down -62.8% from 2024), Luxembourg (down -38.6%), Suriname (down -29.9%), Spain (down -24.4%) and Moldova (down -21.4%).
