Peter Phillips, the son of Princess Anne, has married NHS nurse Harriet Sperling in a church ceremony in Gloucestershire today, with senior royals including the King and the Prince and Princess of Wales attending

Peter Phillips has married Harriet Sperling with the Royal Family coming out in force to celebrate the wedding, with Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie making a "brave" appearance.
Nearly all senior royals descended on the small village of Kemble, near Cirencester in Gloucestershire, for the private nuptials, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the King and Queen. Also there were Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. It is the first time they have been included in a large Royal Family gathering since the arrest of their father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did not attend.
According to former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, Beatrice and Eugenie's were "brave to show up", adding that "it can't have been easy for them". She added that the sisters appeared to keep a "low profile" as Jennie said they were "determined not to draw any of the limelight from the bride and groom."
The bride stunned in a lace gown by designer Emilia Wickstead, which she teamed with the Pragnell family tiara. After the ceremony, the newlyweds posed for photographers before they were whisked to their wedding reception at Gatcombe Park.
Mr Phillips, the King’s nephew, William and Harry’s first cousin and the brother of Zara Tindall, is the son of Anne and her first husband Captain Mark Phillips. He split from his first wife Autumn in 2020 after 12 years of marriage and shares custody of their two children.

Photos show sweet moment between Mike Tindall and his daughter
Despite the rain guests seemed to enjoy the royal wedding today - especially seven-year-old Lena tindall.
Seven-year-old Lena, daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall, was captured entertaining royal guests by playing with her unicorn umbrealla outside of Kemble's All Saints Church following the private ceremony. Dressed in a floral white dress with pink shoes and a coloured ribbon in her hair, Lena was seen holding her umbrella above Mike's head, the young royal erupted into a fit of laughter before pictures later showed Mike carrying the item instead.

'Much needed' day for the royals, expert says
A host of senior members of the Royal Family showed up for Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling's wedding and they were all smiles, despite the rain.
Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told the Mirror: "This was a much needed joyful day for the family, and a chance to show that they – or at least most of them – remain united in spite of all the damaging headlines of recent times."

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie made 'brave' appearance, expert says
The disgraved ex-prince Andrew's two daughters attended the wedding with the husbands after keeping a low public profile for months.
Jennie Bond, the former BBC royal correspondent, told the Mirror this public outing by the sisters was "quite brave".
Bond said: "I thought it was quite brave of Beatrice and Eugenie to show up… knowing that the cameras would be on them.
"They've had a lot of highly critical press lately and it can't have been easy for them to face the media. But they did seem to keep quite a low profile, particularly as the bridal party left the church.
"I'm sure they were determined not to draw any of the limelight from the bride and groom, who looked incredibly happy and relaxed together."

Beatrice and Eugenie's 'challenging outing' to Peter Phillips' wedding amid damning rent report
EXCLUSIVE: After weeks of speculation over whether Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie would attend their cousin Peter's wedding, the royal sisters were dressed in their best for Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling's fairytale wedding in Kemble, Cirencester.
The princesses - who were joined by their husbands for the royal nuptials - were recently implicated in a damning report released by the National Audit Office, which revealed that their uncle King Charles had been footing the bill for their accommodation in London royal residences, despite neither of them being working royals.
As a result of the recent headlines, body language expert Judi James told the Mirror that Beatrice and Eugenie seemed tense as they arrived at the wedding.
Judi explained: "Their body language on arrival suggested this was a challenging outing for at least three of them: the sisters and Eugenie's husband Jack. All three looked tense on the walk up to the cameras, with Jack walking unsmiling as his wife pulled her coat over her baby bump. Beatrice, walking in front, leaned slightly in towards her husband as though looking for some support.
"It was Edo showing all the signs of resilience and confidence here. As the other three appeared to prefer to avoid attention Edo seemed almost to invite it, closing his brolly before waving it in the air with a flourish; running a hand through his hair and holding his left hand out to clasp his wife's hand as though keen to offer her some strength and encouragement.
"Edo greeted Mike with a wide smile and a delighted hug, with an arm thrown around his neck, and his mood did seem to encourage the others, who managed to become more smiling and playful as they connected with the Tindalls."

Prince Harry's absence exposed the 'depths of the rift with his family'
The Duke of Sussex was the most glaring no-show at the wedding between Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling today.
Jennie Bond, former BBC royal correspondent, told the Mirror Harry and Peter were once close but this showed how the Duke has increased the distance between him and his family.
Bond said: "The fact that Harry wasn’t there is, however, another graphic illustration of the depths of the rift with his family.
"He came over for the funeral of his uncle, Lord Fellowes, two years ago when it was noted that he did not, as far as we know, exchange a single word with William.
"But perhaps that kind of silence is easier at a funeral. At a wedding, the atmosphere is obviously completely different…and the tensions between the brothers and between Harry and the King would have soured the day. We don’t even know if Harry was in fact invited.
"There certainly was a time when he was very close to his cousin Peter and I’m sure he will have taken a passing interest in the wedding celebrations from his home in California. For all we know, he may have sent a wedding gift and greetings... if he did, it’s likely to remain private."

William and Kate's 'telling' act as they arrived at Peter and Harriet's wedding
EXCLUSIVE: The Prince and Princess of Wales were among a sea of royals in the small town of Kemble in Gloucestershire today for the wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling.
The couple, who this year celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary, were beaming as they entered the church, as body language expert Judi James said their own happy marriage was very much on show.
Judi told the Mirror: "You can tell a lot about the state of a couple's marriage from their body language displays at other people's weddings.
"If a marriage is rocky or has lost the romance, seeing another couple declaring their love can be a bittersweet experience. If a couple are in a strong relationship though their body language will often become intensely romantic as they pick up and mirror the mood of the bride and groom.
"When Kate and William first emerged from their car, it was telling in terms of their marriage that the first thing they did was to briefly exchange a 'look of love'. Kate glanced at William and her expression softened into a dimpled smile before they both huddled underneath a brolly with both hands on the stick."

Peter and Harriet's 'playful and adoring' kiss after their fairytale wedding
EXCLUSIVE: As Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling's wedding drew to a close in Cirencester earlier today, the newlyweds jumped in the back of a car to head to their wedding reception at Princess Anne's home of Gatcombe Park.
But before they drove away, the happy couple shared a sweet kiss, as their newly married bliss radiated while the onlooking crowd errupted in cheers.
And according to body language expert Judi James, their happiness was evident all day. Judi told the Mirror: "The kiss in the car between the newlyweds perfectly defined the body language mood of the entire wedding here. Playful, adoring and showing almost teenage levels of excitement, as Peter gazed down at his bride his lips pulled into a definition of complex emotions, smiling with the corners turned down to signal appreciation and shared fun while, the dimpling of his cheeks signaled high levels of very congruent happiness."
Judi said that the couple's body language shifted after they stopped for a photo call out the front of the church and were sealed away privately in the car, showing that despite Peter's royal lineage, the couple prefer a life away from the spotlight.
"He very gallantly plucked an umbrella to hold aloft for their official photos," Judi explained, "And although he and Harriet performed perfect Duchenne smiles for the cameras, the look of relief and a more relaxed sense of happiness as they sat together in the car was also signaled by Harriet's sudden gesture to her friends and family as they pulled away."
"Her eyebrows raised in a playful 'eyebrow flash' tie sign as she grinned widely and leaned backward to wave. The switch in body language mood from the more formal 'royal' poses to this loving, fun and relaxed look probably perfectly encapsulated the mood of the day, which was more intimate family wedding than traditional royal one."

The real reason why Charles and Camilla left the royal wedding early to attend the Epsom Derby
Just minutes after Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling's wedding concluded in Cirencester, the King and Queen made a haste exit in order to attend the Epsom Derby almost 100 miles away in Surrey.
According to the Telegraph, Charles and Camilla were among the first guests to leave the church as the celebratory bells began to toll. The publication said that the King and Queen are understood to have accepted the invitation to the Epsom Derby before the wedding date was set.
Once they received the wedding invitation, aides looked into logistics and found it was narrowly possible for them to do both. They arrived at Epsom in time to present the trophy.
A Palace source said: “Their Majesties were eager to show support for one of the racing industry’s most important days, which as it turned out unfortunately fell on the same day as a family occasion they were equally keen to be a part of.
“Thankfully, a workaround was evolved that meant it was just about possible to attend both, and I know they were very much looking forward to each element of a very special but very busy day; one that featured a bit of a race of their own.”
