The funeral service for senator Lindsey Graham at the National Cathedral in Washington DC has now concluded.

Attendees such as Donald Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu and Volodymyr Zelensky have started leaving the building.

The casket will now be taken to South Carolina - Mr Graham's native - where the burial will take place tomorrow.

Sean Hannity, a Fox News host, was among the people reading eulogies at the National Cathedral in Washington DC as the memorial service took place for senator Lindsey Graham.

Mr Hannity joked about Mr Graham having his own version of Mar-a-Lago, a resort in Palm Beach, Florida, owned by Trump.

Addressing the president, Mr Hannity said: "Lindsey probably has a heavenly version of Mar-a-Lago. It may even be a little bigger.

"He may have a little more gold in the Oval Office in his mansion in heaven.

"And I wouldn't be surprised if he added one big beautiful ballroom and an arch somewhere on the property because you would wanna obviously duplicate his dearest friend in life, you, Mr President."

During his eulogy for senator Lindsey Graham, Trump felt the need to veer off script at one point.

This came as he was telling the National Cathedral about Mr Graham being liked by everyone.

Trump said: "Virtually everyone, Republican or Democrat, liked Lindsey. Well, not everybody. But it sounds good. He was a tough cookie. I have to be honest. I have to veer from this for a second."

The president is seen blinking slowly as his eyes close more and more.

Lindsey Graham was aged 71 when he suddenly died at home in Washington on July 11, with preliminary findings indicating the senator, from South Carolina, suffered an aortic dissection.

His career had started more than 30 years ago and led him to be one of Capitol Hill's most stand-out Republicans and one of Trump's trusted national security and foreign policy adviser.

He was a vocal Israel and Ukraine supporter, with Netanyahu and Zelensky's presence at today's service being a nod to the senator's support.

Further memorial services are scheduled in South Carolina tomorrow, with the final funeral service to take place at the First Baptist Church of Columbia.

The White House said the Joint Base Charleston, an air base in South Carolina, will be renamed in Mr Graham's honour.

Mr Graham had just returned from a whirlwind trip to a Nato summit in Turkey, where he celebrated his birthday, and a visit to Ukraine.

His sister, Darline Graham, was sworn in to fulfill the remainder of her brother's term.

Trump has given his eulogy at the memorial service for senator Lindsey Graham at the National Cathedral in Washington.

He said: "A beloved friend, a devoted brother, a respected statesman, a giant of the United States Senate and a true American original who left us much too soon.

"That can only be the one and only Lindsey Graham."

Trump also honoured Mr Graham as "a force to be reckoned with all over the world", adding that "nothing of consequence happend in this Capitol without Lindsey Graham knowing about it" and "nothing of significance happened anyhwehere in the world without Lindsey Graham having a view on it".

The US president added: "He was a man who gave america the full measure of his good and mighty heart until that heart itself just gave out."

In a video posted on his Instagram account, Netanyahu described his meeting with Trump on Tuesday as "excellent".

He added that it was "a conversation with full partnership, with mutual support, with an understanding of the common goal of ensuring that Iran does not have nuclear weapons, and other goals as well.

"One of the best conversations I’ve had with the President of the United States, our friend Donald Trump."

The Israeli Prime Minister met with Trump in the White House for about 90 minutes of talks, in a meeting that was closed to press coverage.

"He said that Trump's "entire senior team" was present at the meeting, as well as "our senior team", and that it was "an opportunity to exchange ideas and to coordinate arrangements that are important for the security and future of the State of Israel".

The funeral service for senator Lindsey Graham is now underway at Washington National Cathedral.

Just after 6pm BST, we saw Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky arrive at the cathedral following his meeting with US president Donald Trump at the White House's Oval Office.

Trump is expected to give remarks during the service.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu is also attending the funeral after his meeting with Trump.

A senior Ukrainian official who was in the room at the time of the meeting has told Sky News that the meeting between Zelensky and Trump was "very practical" as the two presidents reportedly discussed "renewed diplomatic efforts".

US special envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff and US special envoy for peace Jared Kushner are now expected by Ukraine to visit Kyiv as a support gesture.

The possibility of granting Ukraine a license to produce Patriot interceptor missiles was also discussed.

The meeting took place behind closed doors, with no members of the press allowed into the room.

Volodymyr Zelensky has now arrived at Washington National Cathedral in Washington for the funeral service of senator Lindsey Graham.

The service is expected in less than an hour as it is due to start at 7pm BST.

The Ukrainian prime minister is also scheduled to visit Capitol Hill today.

Netanyahu's meeting with Trump has now come to an end as both this meeting and the one between the US president and Volodymyr Zelensky have been described as "positive and productive".

Karoline Leavitt, assistant to the US president and White House press secretary, said in a post on X: "President Trump has concluded his meetings in the Oval Office with President Zelensky and Prime Minister Netanyahu.

"Both meetings were positive and productive!"

Israeli PM and his wife, Sara Netanyahu, attended a memorial dinner last night in honour of senator Lindsey Graham.

Also at the dinner were Graham family members, close friends of the late senator and senior US officials.

Netanyahu said: "America has lost a great patriot. Israel has lost one of its greatest friends and supporters. And I have lost a dear friend.

"Lindsey was wholeheartedly committed to the security of the United States, the security of Israel and the unrelenting fight against antisemitism. I will miss him greatly, and all of us will miss him greatly."

The Israeli prime minister has not yet made a comment on how the meeting went or what exactly was discussed during it.

Similarly to Trump's meeting with Zelensky, the meeting with Netanyahu took place behind closed doors, with no media present.

This means we are relying solely on official statements regarding what happened during the meetings.

Donald Trump's meeting with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu is underway in the Oval Office at the White House as Palestine protesters gathered outside the building.

A number of people have brought placards and Palestinian flags as they demonstrate over the ongoing conflict in Gaza and US policy in the Middle East.

While Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky had their private meeting, which lasted around one hour, the casket carrying senator Lindsey Graham was brought to the US Capitol for a memorial service.

The casket had the United States flag draped over it and was carried by multiple armed forces members.

Remarks were delivered at the Capitol's Rotunda by vice president JD Vance, who also presented a wreath.

The funeral service will follow later today.

The tribute ceremony for senator Graham has now taken place at the US Capitol.

Vice President JD Vance was seen presenting a wreath during the ceremony before paying tribute to the late senator.

The main funeral service, which will also be attended by Trump, Zelensky and Netanyahu, is due to take place at 7pm BST at Washington National Cathedral.

Trump is expected to deliver remarks during the latter ceremony after his meetings with the Ukrainian and the Israeli leaders at the White House this afternoon.

We now have pictures from inside the Oval Office as Trump's meeting with Zelensky has concluded.

Zelensky described the meeting as "good" in a post on X, thanking the United States for its "firm support".

The Ukrainian president's full statement reads: "A good meeting with President Trump at the Oval Office.

"Thank you for everything we do together to protect the lives of Ukrainians and advance peace.

"First and foremost, I offered President Trump our condolences on the passing of Lindsey Graham. He was a true friend of Ukraine.

"The President and I discussed licenses for Patriot interceptor production and several other ideas that could help.

"We also spoke about diplomacy – it’s important that the diplomatic process be reinvigorated.

"Our teams will arrange the details of their further communication.

"I am grateful to the United States for its firm support."

Trump's meeting with Zelensky is now over and so Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been pictured arriving at the White House.

The world's currently two most talked about wars collided in the world's largest lake - the Caspian Sea - at the weekend.

As Ukraine attacked an Iranian merchant vessel in the Caspian Sea on Saturday, killing one sailor and wounding another, an Iranian MP has now warned "a military response will certainly follow".

Speaking to Russian news agency RIA Novosti, Feda-Hossein Maleki, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said: "We responded through diplomatic channels, issued an ultimatum, but a military response will certainly follow"

He added that the Iranian armed forces have already put the issue of a military response to Kiev on the agenda.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived at the White House for his meeting with US President Donald Trump, according to reports.

The meeting is expected to start later than scheduled.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are both in Washington DC today to attend the funeral of Republican US Senator Lindsey Graham, who died earlier this month aged 71.

Graham lobbied for additional US military assistance to Ukraine and was an outspoken supporter of Israel's war on Gaza.

"I’ll stand with Israel until the day I die. It is our greatest ally," he told The Jerusalem Post several months ago.

A tribute ceremony for Graham will be held at 10am ET (3pm BST) at the US Capitol.

The main funeral service will take place at 2pm ET (7pm BST) at Washington National Cathedral.

Vice-President JD Vance will deliver remarks at the first ceremony, while President Donald Trump will do so at the funeral service.

US President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, are expected to hold the first of today's meetings at the White House. The meeting is due to take place at 9.30am ET (2.30pm BST).

It is understood that Trump will hold talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at 11am ET (4pm BST).

Benjamin Netanyahu has not announced his arrival in the US, but the Israeli prime minister made lengthy remarks before boarding his flight yesterday.

He said it will be his eighth meeting with Donald Trump since the US president began his second term, which he said is "more than any other international leader".

"This is a great privilege, but it is also a great responsibility. From my experience as Prime Minister, during these complex times we must act with both great determination and great wisdom," Netanyahu said.

He said the two leaders will discuss "all the issues on the agenda, first and foremost, Iran".

Volodymyr Zelensky announced on social media early this morning that he arrived in the US.

"Our schedule includes meetings with President Trump, his team, and those who can support our defense," the Ukrainian president wrote in a post on X.

"Our number-one priority is anti-ballistic defense and strategic cooperation with America. Peace needs to be brought closer."

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday that he will share evidence with the US showing that Russia shared satellite imagery with Iran, enabling Tehran to target US military facilities in the Middle East.

"Since the beginning of July, we have recorded active Russian satellite surveillance of the Gulf states and U.S. military facilities located there," Zelensky wrote on X.

"These images subsequently appear in Iran. At the same time, there is a clear correlation between Russia's satellite imagery of these sites and Iranian strikes - both before the attacks, in preparation for them, and afterward, to assess the damage inflicted."
