Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Five-Star Business Finance share price can go up to ₹615

ensex Today, Nifty 50 | Stock Market Live Updates - Find here all the live updates related to Sensex, Nifty, BSE, NSE, share prices and Indian stock markets for 16th September 2026.

The short-term outlook for Five-Star Business Finance is bullish. The stock fell over a per cent on Monday. However, key support levels are at ₹538, ₹525, and ₹510.

As such, we see limited downside from here. A fall to ₹525 is a possibility. But the chances of an extended fall to ₹510 are unclear. Ideally, we expect the Five-Star Business Finance share price to reverse higher and rise to ₹615 in the coming weeks.

Traders can buy the stock now at ₹544. Accumulate on dips at ₹532. Keep the stop-loss at ₹503. Trail the stop-loss to ₹555 as soon as the stock rises to ₹565. Move the stop-loss higher to ₹570 and ₹585 when the price touches ₹580 and ₹595, respectively. Exit the stock at ₹610.

SEBI proposes shorter DR drills, stronger resilience for market infrastructure

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has proposed shorter disaster recovery (DR) drills and stronger operational resilience measures for market infrastructure institutions (MIIs), including stock exchanges, clearing corporations and depositories.

Under the proposal, DR drills would be conducted on non-working days for at least four hours, including the switch from the primary data centre (PDC) to the disaster recovery site (DRS). MIIs would still be required to simulate real-life market conditions, including different market-operation scenarios and loads close to actual participation. Read more

Weekly Rupee View: Rupee turns weak again

The rupee came under pressure over the past week, depreciating about 1.2 per cent to close at 95.96 against the dollar on Tuesday. The weakness was driven by persistent foreign outflows, higher US bond yields and renewed geopolitical tensions that lifted crude oil prices.

According to NSDL data, net FPI outflows stood at about $1.03 billion over the past week, taking cumulative outflows in September to about $2.5 billion. The sustained selling by overseas investors has added pressure on the local currency.

The external environment has also turned less favourable. US consumer price data for August showed headline inflation unchanged at 3.4 per cent, while core inflation rose 0.3 per cent month-on-month, above market expectations and the strongest increase since early 2021. The data increased expectations that the Federal Reserve could raise rates soon. Read more

Nifty 50 prediction for the week: Vulnerable to fall more

Nifty 50, Sensex and Nifty Bank index fell sharply last week breaking below their key support. Nifty and Sensex were down over 2 per cent each. Nifty Bank index on the other hand fell 1.33 per cent for the week.

On the charts, the picture is looking weak. Resistances are there to cap the upside. So, any rise from current levels can be capped. We expect the Nifty, Sensex and the Nifty Bank index to fall either from here itself or after a short-lived corrective rise.

Index Outlook: Vulnerable to fall more

Benchmark indices face downward pressure amid resistance levels, with expectations of further declines in Nifty, Sensex, and Nifty Bank.

Stock Markets on Tuesday | Crude shock, bond jitters send Sensex, Nifty into a rout

Markets suffered one of their worst sessions in months on Tuesday, as a triple blow of surging crude oil prices, multi-year highs in US bond yields and a weakening rupee sent benchmark indices sharply lower, erasing strong opening gains and closing near the day’s lows.

The BSE Sensex fell 777.94 points, or 1.04 per cent, to close at 74,003.82, having opened as high as 75,436.44 earlier in the session. The NSE Nifty 50 shed 279.50 points, or 1.19 per cent, to settle at 23,118.60, its lowest closing level since April 6, 2026, after reversing sharply from an intraday high of 23,592.85, a swing of nearly 475 points. The Nifty Midcap 100 and Smallcap 100 fell 2.1 per cent and 2.4 per cent, respectively, marking their steepest single-day decline since May 12.

Brent crude hovered near $107–108 a barrel, buoyed by fresh attacks on Saudi energy infrastructure and unresolved Middle East supply concerns, while the US 10-year Treasury yield crossed 5 per cent for the first time since 2007. Back home, India’s retail inflation accelerated to a 20-month high of 4.82 per cent in August, pushing the 10-year government bond yield up 7 basis points to 7.09 per cent, a four-month high.
