NEW DELHI: Who really controls the Lawrence Bishnoi network while its notorious kingpin is confined to a high-security cell inside Gujarat's Sabarmati jail? The answer, sources told TOI, is that the gang is being run by a 'shadow cabinet' of Lawrence's key lieutenants who orchestrate transnational operations from foreign safe havens.

The core group comprises Tyson Bishnoi, Anil Pandit, Hari Boxer, Harman Sandhu and Himanshu Sonipat. They coordinate recruitment, tasking and logistics, and share screenshots. A parallel group comprising Aarzoo Bishnoi, Shubam Lonkar and Randeep Malik handles planning, financing and target selection. Gangster Goldi Dhillon was also part of it but went underground after FBI launched Operation Hardball.Operating from the US, Canada and parts of Europe, the command structure oversees digital intimidation and field executions, directing local recruits through Signal, Instagram and WhatsApp.Sources said seasoned kingpins Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar retain control and have falsely projected a split with Lawrence to mislead investigators. "Operating from deep within international safe havens, these higher-tier masterminds provide the strategic oversight, financial backing and cross-border protection that shield the network's mid-level lieutenants," an investigator said.Pandit, their main public mouthpiece, posts gang manifestos and extortion warnings on social media.

A native of Panipat, he travelled to US via Canada a year after Sidhu Moose Wala was killed. Himanshu recently claimed responsibility for a drive-by shooting targeting Haryanvi singer Diler Kharkiya's Range Rover in Sonipat and rival gangster Vinod Kana's killing outside Hisar court complex on Aug 20.
