Sporting Lisbon face a tough challenge to keep their Champions League campaign alive as they host Bodo/Glimt at the Estadio Jose Alvalade for the second leg of their round-of-16 tie. The Lions trail 3-0 after a heavy first-leg defeat in Norway, making a comeback essential to progress.
Sporting can draw inspiration from their impressive home form—winning 17 of their last 18 matches at Alvalade, including all four group-stage games, with 10 victories by three goals or more. They also have a perfect UEFA home record against Norwegian teams, never conceding in three matches.
Bodo/Glimt, meanwhile, are riding high after their fifth straight Champions League win and have a strong record when leading by three goals after the first leg in UEFA ties. The Norwegian side has scored at least twice in nine of their last 11 Champions League matches and won four of their last five away games.
Sporting will need to produce something special to overturn the deficit, while Bodo/Glimt are aiming to become the first Norwegian club to reach the quarter-finals since 1997.

Sporting vs Bodo/Glimt Team News
Sporting will be boosted by the return of Maximiliano Araujo and Pedro Goncalves, both available again after serving suspensions in the first leg. However, Fotis Ioannidis and Ricardo Mangas remain out with knee injuries, while Geovany Quenda, set to join Chelsea, is still recovering from foot surgery.
Luis Suarez, who has scored three goals in his last two Champions League appearances at the Jose Alvalade, is expected to lead Sporting’s attack once again.
For Bodo/Glimt, Kasper Høgh is in excellent form, having scored five goals in his last five Champions League games, and will look to continue his scoring streak in Lisbon. Manager Kjetil Knutsen has named an unchanged starting XI for the past five European matches and is likely to stick with the same lineup, with Ole Didrik Blomberg, Jens Petter Hauge, and Høgh making up the attacking trio.
