Tech Mahindra on Wednesday acquired Brazilian-based IT services firm Alyis Serviços Técnicos LTDA for ₹2.21 crore as part of its partnership with Orange Business via its wholly-owned subsidiary.
Alyis is newly incorporated in Petropolis, State of Rio de Janerio, Brazil on May 27 and holds about 270 employees and has operations in Brazil supporting the LATAM region.
“The acquisition is part of the partnership signed between the Company and Orange Business which includes outsourcing of selected international operations including global customer support, quote to bill and post sale support. This acquisition will enable the Company to provide seamless support to Orange Business customers,” said Tech Mahindra in a stock exchange filing.
Alyis Serviços is engaged in the business of providing IT services in the telecommunications sector including training and consulting services related thereto, development, licensing, commercialisation and support of standard and customised software solutions and related information technology consulting services, commercial representation activities, digital transformation and enterprise network services. Following the completion of the acquisition on July 2, Alyis Serviços will become a wholly-owned stepdown subsidiary and related party of Tech Mahindra. Further, the Indian IT firm will hold 100 per cent of Alyis shares comprising of 11,99,718 equity shares of face value of BRL 1 each.
