I have bought Bharti Airtel shares at ₹2,044. What is the outlook?

Pradeep Kabra, West Mumbai

Bharti Airtel (₹1,890): The trend is down since November 2025. The recent bounce from the low of ₹1,726 made in September is important. Because it is happening from just above the key support level of ₹1,700. This leg of upmove has to take the price above ₹2,030. If it does, then the outlook can turn bullish again. That in turn will increase the potential for Bharti Airtel share price to target ₹2,500 in the coming months. You can accumulate at current levels. Keeps a stop-loss at ₹1,660. Move the stop-loss higher to ₹2,010 as soon as the stock goes up to ₹2,140. Revise the stop-loss higher to ₹2,180 and ₹2,320 when the price touches ₹2,280 and ₹2,440, respectively. Exit the stock at ₹2,500.

I have shares of Power Finance Corporation (PFC). My purchase price is at ₹474. Should I continue to hold or exit?

Subrata Saha, Bengaluru

PFC (₹316): The fall below ₹360 in September is a bearish signal. There is some support in the ₹305-₹300 region. Even if the stock holds above this support, a sustained rise above ₹370 is needed to ease the downside pressure. Only then the stock will get some breather and see a relief rise to ₹430-₹460. As long as the stock stays below ₹370, there is a danger of breaking down below ₹300. Such a break will see Power Finance Corporation (PFC) share price tumbling towards ₹260-₹250 or even lower. The price action on the chart does not give any concrete signal for the price to go above ₹370 from here. So, it is better to exit the stock and accept the loss.

I have REC Ltd shares. My purchase price is ₹480. What should I do now? Shall I continue to hold the stock?

Sneha, Chennai

REC (₹293.65): The trend is down and strong for more than two years now. There is no sign of a bullish trend reversal. The price action on the charts indicate that the broader downtrend is very much intact. The stock can fall to ₹250-₹245 from here. A strong bounce thereafter can trigger a corrective rise to ₹300 or even ₹350. The region between ₹380 and ₹400 seems to be a crucial resistance zone. REC Ltd share price has to rise above ₹400 in order to indicate a bullish trend reversal. Only then the doors will open for revisiting ₹500 and ₹600 levels. But such a strong rise looks unlikely and will also need some strong positive trigger. Exit the stock and accept the loss.

I have shares of Alkyl Amines Chemicals bought at ₹3,985. I am in a huge loss now. What should I do?

Riya, Patna

Alkyl Amines Chemicals (₹1,635): We always reiterate in this column to have a stop-loss in place right at the time of entering a trade. Having a stop-loss and strictly adhering to it will help in minimising the loss. You can also avoid getting trapped in a wrong trade for a long time by having a stop-loss in place. You have entered the stock almost near the top. The trend has been down over the last five years. The stock can fall to ₹1,000 from here. A strong rise above ₹2,200 is needed to turn the outlook bullish. Only then the price can go up to ₹3,000 and higher levels. But that looks unlikely for now. Exit the stock and accept the loss.
