Doctors working in Area, District Hospitals and Community Health Centres are performing complex surgeries, obliterating the need for the patients to be referred to bigger hospitals for treatment, said Director of Secondary Health K. Chakradhar Babu.

In a release on Tuesday (April 21, 2026) he cited examples of two women, Samrajyam (65) and Nancharamma (38), who were severely injured in separate road accidents and have now recovered after undergoing complex surgeries at Tenali district hospital.
