In the name of Zeus’ Law!” Fellow Chroniclers, it’s time to set sail once again as The Chronicle Podcast returns with another epic discussion.

In Episode 64, Rosie, Ibrahim and Lottie dive deep into one of the year’s biggest cinematic events—Christopher Nolan‘s The Odyssey. After a week in cinemas, the dust has settled, giving the team the perfect opportunity to reflect on whether Nolan’s latest blockbuster truly lives up to the enormous hype.

Adapted from Homer‘s timeless Greek epic, The Odyssey follows King Odysseus (Matt Damon) as he embarks on a perilous ten-year journey home to Ithaca after the Trojan War. Along the way, he must battle mythical monsters, powerful witches and impossible odds, while his faithful wife Penelope (Anne Hathaway) desperately fends off ambitious suitors determined to claim the throne.

Featuring an all-star cast including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Jon Bernthal and Zendaya, Christopher Nolan delivers one of his most ambitious films to date.

The team also tackles one of the biggest questions surrounding the film: Is IMAX really the only way to experience The Odyssey? With Nolan shooting the entire film using IMAX cameras, is it worth paying extra for the biggest screen possible?

Join Rosie, Ibrahim and Lottie as they discuss the performances, storytelling, visuals, score, IMAX presentation, and whether The Odyssey deserves to be remembered as one of Christopher Nolan’s greatest films.
