It has been an interesting week in Washington, with U.S. President Donald Trump taking significant actions against friends and foes. Trump said 50 per cent tariffs were coming to Canada because of what he perceives to be "unfair trade practices" by Canada. Moreover, the administration put a 10 per cent tariff in place on Friday morning, linked to Section 301, which was an investigation into the use of forced labour for goods that are imported into the United States. Concerning the war on Iran, Trump has threatened to further the conflict by hitting things like power plants and bridges.
