United target Ndiaye

Iliman Ndiaye has been added to Manchester United's transfer shortlist with plans being weighed up to sign a left-winger this summer, as per the Manchester Evening News.

He has three years left on his contract at Hill Dickinson Stadium but a departure this summer is possible.

It is worth noting the eagerness to sign a left-sided forward has lessened somewhat following the signing of Matheus Cunha and Michael Carrick's preference to play Patrick Dorgu further forward.

Rashford 'rejects' Arsenal move

Talk of a surprise transfer to Arsenal for Marcus Rashford emerged over the last few days as his future remains in the balance following Anthony Gordon's move to Barcelona.

Tottenham and Bayern Munich have also been linked alongside the Gunners but it seems as though Rashford has given a clear response to joining the latter.

According to Spanish outlet SPORT, he has rejected interest from Arsenal and other clubs in order to continue waiting on Barca.

Their report states that a return to the Camp Nou for Rashford is not completely off the table but it would require several first-team players to be sold. Barcelona are also currently focused on signing a centre-forward with Julian Alvarez the most likely addition.

Man Utd's £38m agreement

While Manchester United appear to have opted against getting involved in the Elliot Anderson transfer battle, funds on a new midfielder are prepared to be dished out.

Ever since he missed Atalanta's final game of the season and it was confirmed afterwards that he was in talks to join another club, the expectation was that Ederson would be heading to United.

And that scenario has since transpired with a £38million deal agreed between the two parties. United are expected to sign at least one other midfielder this summer.

Mateus Fernandes currently appears the most likely addition given West Ham's relegation and Manchester City's focus on Anderson.

"He is a very intelligent player so I’m sure it would. But he has to figure out what he wants from his career."

However, it’s understood co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has now prioritised making new signings instead - and has put the future of Fernandes on the back burner.

Rashford to Barcelona twist

Looks like we have yet another development in Marcus Rashford's ongoing transfer saga.

Reports from Diario Sport suggest Manchester United are willing to cede some ground and accept terms for a permanent deal which are more suitable to Barcelona. The report claims Rashford is prioritising a permanent move to Camp Nou over anything else, at personal cost, and is willing to to negotiate terms with that consideration as Barcelona themselves carefully manager their wage bill.

It seems United have accepted they won't get they were intially looking for and will compromise on a deal.
