Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool are looking to strengthen in the transfer window as they enter new era and try to topple Arsenal in the Premier League
Yan Diomande is a transfer target for Liverpool(Image: Ulrik Pedersen/NurPhoto via Getty Images)Welcome to Mirror Football's transfer coverage as the transfer window starts to ramp up. Teams will be scrambling to get deals in place before players make the trip to the United States, Mexico and Canada for the World Cup and potentially see their values rise.
It is a pivotal summer for a number of Premier League clubs as they face new challenges. Manchester United enter their first summer transfer window with Michael Carrick and are preparing for a return to the Champions League.
The Red Devils need to strengthen their midfield and have been linked to the likes of Sandro Tonali and Elliot Anderson already. Marcus Rashford's future also needs to be resolved as the wait over whether Barcelona turn his deal permanent goes on.
Manchester City begin life without Pep Guardiola after the Catalan coach brought his decade-long stay to an end. If Enzo Maresca arrives could he target Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez?
Liverpool want to bounce back quickly under Arne Slot, but it will be without the help of Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian waved his goodbyes and the Reds now need a successor, with RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande among the candidates.
Bournemouth, Sunderland and Brighton have all qualified for Europe too and will hope to strengthen their squads for the challenge, while Newcastle and Everton will hope to return to the top half of the table next season.
