While hosting a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration at the White House Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump reminded his audience that he renamed the Gulf of Mexico to “the Gulf of America,” asking them if it was “okay.” “We just named a certain lake Lake America… So, Lake Ontario is now named Lake [America] and it actually passed… I think even cooler than that was the Gulf… I hated to do this to the Mexicans,” he said, adding, “It's actually very related [to Hispanic Heritage Month] because it's good for our country.”
