A long-delayed defence investment plan has been published, with Sir Keir Starmer announced an additional £15bn in funding for the armed forces.

This is the largest increase in defence spending since the Cold War in the 1980s, with £270bn earmarked for defence over the next four years.

However, the spending has also faced criticism for falling short of the UK's increased defence needs.
