Two children were rushed to hospital after falling from an apartment balcony in southeast Ireland.
It is understood that the glass pane on the side of the balcony fell off at an apartment in Waterford on Friday, March 20. A three-year-old boy fell around 20 feet, The Irish Mirror reported. The little boy's seven-year-old sister also fell as she attempted to prevent him from falling.
The siblings were rushed to University Hospital Waterford after the falls.

Gardaí confirmed they assisted with other agencies responding to a “medical emergency” at the complex.
“Shortly before 11am this morning, Friday 20 March 2026, Gardaí in Waterford assisted other agencies in responding to a medical emergency at a residential property at Mount Suir, Waterford," A Garda spokesperson told the Irish Mirror.
"An Garda Síochána has no additional information regarding the incident.”
Waterford City and County Council have said a formal investigation into the incident has been launched.
