Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayA new national survey suggests food banks and shelters cannot provide enough food to keep up with rising demand across Canada. An Ipsos survey – conducted for food rescue charity Second Harvest – found 89 per cent of organizations surveyed saw an increase in demand for food over the past year. It's gotten so bad, the report says, that one-in-three have a waitlist for food programs, while more than one-third have been forced to turn people away due to limited resources. Second Harvest says the findings paint a picture of a charity system under growing pressure, as more Canadians turn to community organizations for help to put food on the table.
