Defence PSU BEL on Tuesday said it has signed an MoU with BMIT to collaborate on the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced electronic modules, subsystems, and systems for defence electronics and aerospace.

The collaboration will focus on critical technology domains such as electronic warfare (EW), naval radars, and drones, said a press release.

Bit Mapper Integration Technologies Pvt Ltd is a global provider of electronic system design and manufacturing (ESDM) solutions.

The strategic partnership aims to strengthen efforts to foster indigenous design and production capabilities in advanced technology areas critical to national defence, the release added.

The MoU was exchanged between Manoj Jain, Chairman and Managing Director of BEL, and Amit Mahajan, CEO of BMIT, in the presence of other senior officials from both companies, it said.
