Coronation Street spoilers for next week's episodes have confirmed one character believes they have discovered what Sarah Platt and Gary Windass are hiding on the ITV soap

Sarah Platt and Gary Windass may have been rumbled on Coronation Street by a fellow resident.

Maria Connor believes she's uncovered their mystery secret, after weeks of odd behaviour. Both Sarah and Gary have seemed rattled by something, with them sparking concern recently.

With them seeming quite close too in recent episodes, Maria is suspicious of her husband Gary. Viewers have seen the exes having private meet-ups and phone calls, while also speaking very cryptically about something no one else knows.

But next week, Maria tells Gary they need to talk, while Sarah learns from Todd Grimshaw that Maria thinks she's rumbled what's going on. Maria has already told Fiz Brown and Izzy Armstrong at this point that she believes Gary is having an affair.

As the week goes on, Maria is adamant that Gary has been cheating with Sarah. She's now desperate to find the proof, and find out what is going on for certain.

It all kicks off after recent scenes, that have seen Maria baffled by Gary's behaviour. His ben overly defending Sarah too, with Sarah doing the same for Gary.

Next week, she spots the pair hugging, while Gary has just told Sarah that they need to delete all their messages to each other. They have no idea Maria is watching them, and her suspicions raise higher.

Maria opens up to Fiz and Izzy about how she suspects Gary is having an affair with Sarah, but their reaction is unclear. Maria does want to find proof though, and soon word reaches Todd.

Todd is shocked by the accusation and decides to let his close friend Sarah know what Maria has been saying about her. Whether Sarah will come clean about whatever it is they are hiding?

Maria is devastated, and she needs answers. She tells Gary they need to talk, and sensing something is up he's very worried.

He suggests they meet for a curry later that evening, but will Maria confront him and will she get the answers she needs? It seems not, as the next episode reveals there's more suspicions.

Gary reveals he's booked a surprise holiday for the entire family. While most of them are thrilled, it only leaves Maria even more convinced that something is going on.

She tells Izzy this, stating that she believes Gary has only booked this holiday to appease his guilt over his possible affair with Sarah. So clearly the meal doesn't resolve anything, as Maria still doesn't know what Gary is hiding.

She still thinks he's cheating on her and now believes he's trying to cover up the affair.
