The extended district committee meeting of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) concluded at Kottarakara on Saturday, sending out a clear message that the party will march forward by spearheading popular struggles with greater vigor and leading follow-up activities tailored to the modern era.

The two-day session witnessed detailed discussions and strategic decisions aimed at rectifying shortcomings and further expanding the party’s mass influence across the district.

The meeting was attended by senior leaders, including Central Committee members T. P. Ramakrishnan, K. N. Balagopal, Puthalath Dineshan, and C. S. Sujata, alongside State Secretariat members M. CPI(M) State Secretary M. V. Govindan and District Secretary S. Sudevan addressed the gathering and replied to the points raised during the debate.

In a major organizational move, the meeting extended the committee by incorporating four new members and 10 invitees. P. R. Vasanthan, C. Radhamani, P. K. Balachandran, and B.
