The number of coaches in the Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express would be augmented from eight to 16, Railway Minister Aswini Vaishnaw has said. He was replying to a demand in the Lok Sabha by Hibi Eden, MP, to increase the number of coaches in the train to 20, according to a release.

Mr. Eden has, in addition, sought the introduction of another Vande Bharat rake in the corridor during night, considering the whopping demand from commuters, it said.
