PALIĆ: Film O’Clock Industry Hub, an initiative of the Film O’ Clock International Festival, has recently been presented at the European Film Festival Palić in Serbia. The new digital platform is designed to connect film professionals and foster international collaboration among professionals from the festival’s 12 participating countries, to support the promotion of film projects in development, and to create new opportunities for international collaboration and coproduction.

Launched at the 6th edition of the Film O’Clock International Festival (16 – 19 April 2026), the hub is connecting professionals from Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Moldova, Greece, Egypt, and South Africa.

The initiative will also be showcased at partner festivals in Greece and Egypt.

“The Film O’Clock Industry Hub was created in response to the need for continuous collaboration among film professionals beyond the festival period. Our goal is to provide a space where projects can meet potential partners and filmmakers can build new opportunities together. Although the film industry is an internationally connected community, access to relevant contacts and meaningful collaboration opportunities is not always easy. Through this platform, we aim to facilitate connections between professionals, projects, and opportunities,” says Mirona Radu, Artistic Director of the Film O’Clock International Festival.

As part of her participation in the European Film Festival Palić (18 – 22 July 2026), Mirona Radu has also been invited to speak at the MIOB (Moving Images – Open Borders) panel, “Representation of Women in European Cinema,” dedicated to discussing the representation of women in the European film industry. Organised in collaboration with Le Lab Femmes de cinéma, the panel addressed gender equality and the visibility of women directors in European cinema, drawing on the organisation’s annual study on the representation of women filmmakers across Europe.

Mirona Radu’s contribution was informed by her academic work as a Research Assistant at the National University of Theatre and Film “I.L. Caragiale” Bucharest (UNATC), as well as by her role as Director of Her Story, Her Future, a mentorship programme developed by Creatrix Fama to support and promote women working in the film industry.
