The long wait is officially over for Central American music fans. Iconic British virtual band Gorillaz has confirmed its first-ever concert in Costa Rica, scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Parque Viva in La Guácima, Alajuela.

Produced by local entertainment agency Jogo, the event marks the band’s sole stop in Central America as part of their world tour, The Mountain Tour 2026.

Created in 1998 by musician Damon Albarn (frontman of Blur) and visual artist Jamie Hewlett, Gorillaz revolutionized the music industry by operating as a virtual band led by animated characters: 2-D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs.

Over the past two decades, the project has built a global legacy by seamlessly fusing:
